CONTENTS TO PLAY THE GAME:


 

TILES - THIS IS A 2-6 PLAYER GAME. THERE ARE 6 “HERO TILES” FOR THE PLAYERS OF X,I,t,S,? AND THE REPORTER. THERE ARE SIX “TRICKSTER TILES” THAT CORRESPOND TO THE X,I,t,S,?, AND REPORTER TILES. THERE IS ALSO A DEATH TILE.


 

DIALS - THERE IS A GIANT “KING DIAL” AND A SMALLER “TRICKSTER DIAL”


 

CARDS - THERE ARE JESTER, DEATH, VAGABOND, AND TOMORROWZ END LABELED DECKS OF CARDS.


 

DICE - THERE IS A “DIE OF DIE” THAT HAS “LIFE” WROTE ON 1 SIDE AND “DEATH” WROTE ON THE OTHER 5 SIDES. THERE IS ALSO THE “ARMORY DIE” THAT HAS A PIECE OF ARMOR ON 5 SIDES AND THE TOMORROWZ END LOGO ON 1 SIDE.


 

HOW TO PLAY:


 

SETUP = ALL PLAYERS “HERO TILE” THAT ARE PLAYING, ALONG WITH THEIR CORREPSONDING “TRICKSTER TILE” AND THE “DEATH TILE” ARE ON THE START LOCATION. POSITION THE 4 DECKS (WHICH ARE DEATH, VAGABOND, JESTER AND TOMORROWZ END) FACE UP.

START SQUARE = ALL PLAYERS START ON THE START LOCATION. THIS IS A 2-6 PLAYER GAME. IF ALL 6 PLAYERS ARE PLAYING YOU START IN THE ORDER OF X, I, t, S, ?, THEN REPORTER.

IF LESS ARE PLAYING, YOU STILL GO IN THIS ORDER AND SKIP THE CHARACTERS THAT ARE NOT PRESENT.

KING'S DIAL = TO START THE GAME, YOU SPIN THE KING'S DIAL. IF YOU LAND ON REPENT YOU CAN CHOOSE THE RIGHT OR LEFT WHITE SQUARE (NUMBERS 1 OR 2). IF IT LANDS ON TRANSGRESS YOU CHOOSE THE RIGHT OR LEFT BLACK SQUARE (NUMBERED 4 OR 6). ON YOUR FIRST MOVE, YOU CAN CHOOSE TO GO LEFT OR RIGHT BUT ONCE A CHOICE IS MADE YOU MUST STAY ON THAT PATH UNTIL YOU FINISH THE GAME OR ARE FORCED TO GO BACK TO THE START.

TRICKSTER DIAL = AFTER YOU SPIN THE KING'S DIAL AND YOU MOVE YOUR CHARACTER, YOU THEN SPIN THE TRICKSTER DIAL AND THE CORREPSONDING TRICKSTER TILE WILL GO ON THE CORRESPONDING BLACK SPACE THAT IS IN YOUR DIRECTION. FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOUR CHARACTER GOES RIGHT AND IS ON THE WHITE SPACE (NUMBERED 2) AND THE TRICKSTER DIAL LANDS ON A “2”, HE WILL BE 2 BLACK SPACES AHEAD OF YOU (NUMBERED 9). THE TRICKSTER TILES ONLY MOVE ON BLACK SPACES.

THE COIN OF TRICK OR TRUTH = IF YOUR CORREPSONDING TRICKSTER TILE LANDS ON YOU, OR YOU LAND ON THE SQUARE IT IS ALREADY PRESENT ON, YOU IMMEDIATELY MUST FLIP THE COIN OF “TRICK OR TRUTH”. IF IT LANDS ON TRUTH, YOU STAY WHERE YOU ARE WHILE THE TRICKSTER CHARACTER GOES BACK TO START ALONE AND YOU CONTINUE YOUR TURN. IF THE COIN LANDS ON TRICK, YOU AND YOUR TRICKSTER TILE GO BACK TO THE START POSITION TOGETHER AND YOUR TURN IS OVER. AT THIS POINT, AFTER YOU RETURN TO THE START POSITION YOU CAN NOW GO IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION THAN YOU HOW YOU STARTED THE GAME PREVIOUSLY IF YOU DESIRE.

DEATH CARD = AFTER YOU SPIN THE TRICKSTER DIAL YOU THEN PULL A CARD FROM THE DEATH DECK. WHATEVER NUMBER YOU PULL, THE “DEATH TILE” GOES TO THAT SQUARE. IF HE LANDS ON THE SQUARE YOU ARE ON, OR IN ANY POINT IN THE GAME SOMEONE LANDS ON THE SQUARE DEATH IS ON, OR HE IS MOVED AND LANDS ON A SQUARE WITH ANYONE ON IT, THEY ARE IMMEDIATELY AT THE END OF THEIR GAME AND THEY WILL ROLL THE “DIE OF DIE” TO SEE IF THEY MADE IT TO LIFE WITH THE WHITE KING OR DEATH WITH THE BLACK KING.

JESTER SQUARE = WHENEVER YOU LAND ON A JESTER SQUARE, YOU MUST PICK A JESTER CARD AND IMMEDIATELY GO TO THE ROOM THAT CORRESPONDS TO THE MONSTER THAT IS ON THE FLIP SIDE OF THE JESTER CARD YOU PICK. AS SOON AS YOU ARE IN THE ROOM, YOU ROLL THE “ARMORY DIE”, AND DEPENDING ON WHICH SIDE IT LANDS ON, YOU WILL GET THE PIECE OF ARMOR FROM THE VAGABOND DECK THAT YOU ROLL OR YOU WILL DRAW FROM THE TOMORROWZ END DECK IF YOU ROLL A TOMORROWZ END LOGO AND FOLLOW THOSE INSTRUCTIONS. WHEN YOU ROLL AND GET A PIECE OF ARMOR, THAT CARD IS YOURS TO KEEP THROUGHOUT THE GAME. THE ONLY WAY TO EXIT THE ROOM HOWEVER, IS TO GET THE SPECIFIC PIECE OF ARMOR THAT DEFEATS THE SPECIFIC MONSTER OF THAT ROOM (INFO BELOW). THE MORE PIECES OF ARMOR YOU OBTAIN EQUATES TO ADDITIONAL ROLES WHENEVER YOU REACH THE END OF THE BOARD OR THE DEATH TILE FINDS YOU.

END OF BOARD OR DEATH LANDS ON YOU = WHEN YOU REACH THE END OF THE BOARD AND ARE ON THE 33 OR 34 SQUARE, YOU WILL ROLL THE “DIE OF DIE”. IF YOU HAVE NOT COLLECTED ANY PIECES OF THE ARMOR FROM THE VAGABOND DECK, YOU GET ONE ROLL OF THE “DIE OF DIE.” IF THE “DIE OF DIE” LANDS ON LIFE, YOU WIN AND GO TO THE WHITE KING. IF THE “DIE OF DIE” LANDS ON DEATH, YOU LOSE AND MUST GO TO THE BLACK KING. FOR EVERY PIECE OF ARMOR YOU HAVE COLLECTED, YOU GET ADDITIONAL ROLLS TO GET THE OUTCOME OF LIFE. 1 EXTRA ROLL FOR EACH ARMOR CARD YOU HAVE OBTAINED. IN THE EVENT YOU HAVE OBTAINED ALL 5 PIECES OF ARMOR, YOU GET AN ADDITIONAL BONUS ROLL TO OBTAIN A ROLL OF LIFE. SO, YOU WOULD HAVE THE INITIAL ROLL, THE 5 ROLLS FOR ALL 5 PIECES OF ARMOR, AND THE BONUS ROLL WHICH WOULD GIVE YOU A TOTAL OF 7 CHANCES TO OBTAIN A LIFE ROLL.

ABERATIONS = THIS SECTION WILL DISCUSS WHAT TO DO IN THE EVENT OF MULTIPLE THINGS HAPPENING AT ONCE. FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOUR “TRICKSTER TILE” IS ON A JESTER SQUARE AND YOU SPIN THE KING'S DIAL AND YOU NOW LAND ON THE JESTER SQAURE WITH THE “TRICKSTER TILE” THE TRICKSTER TILE SUPERSEEDS THE JESTER SQUARE.

SCENARIO 1 - THE “X TRICKSTER TILE” IS ON A JESTER SQAURE, THE X PLAYER SPINS THE KING'S DIAL AND LANDS ON TRANSGRESS AND NOW THE X PLAYER MUST GO TO THE BLACK JESTER SQUARE WITH THE “X TRICKSTER TILE.” WHAT YOU DO AT THIS POINT IS, THE X PLAYER FLIPS THE COIN OF “TRICK OR TRUTH”. IF IT LANDS ON TRICK, THE X PLAYER AND THE X TRICKSTER TILE GOES BACK TO START. IF IT LANDS ON TRUTH, THE “X TRICKSTER TILE” GOES BACK TO START WHILE THE X PLAYER WILL CONTINUE HIS TURN SPINNING THE TRICKSTER DIAL AND THEN PULLING A DEATH CARD.

SCENARIO 2 – THE I PLAYER LANDS ON A JESTER TILE. THE I CHARACTER DOES NOT SPIN THE “TRICKSTER DIAL,” BUT IMMEDIATELY PULLS A JESTER CARD AND IT LANDS ON THE LEVER MONSTER. SO THEN THE I PLAYER WILL GO TO LABORATORY ROOM.. THEN THE I PLAYER ROLLS THE “ARMORY DIE” AND THE “ARMORY DIE” LANDS ON THE FEET OF EIRINI, YOU MUST THEN GO THROUGH THE VAGABOND DECK AND GET THE FEET OF EIRINI CARD AND YOU WILL KEEP THAT THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE GAME. THE I PLAYER GOES OUT THE ESCAPE HATCH AND KEEPS THE FEET OF EIRINI CARD AND THEN CONTINUES THEIR TURN BY SPINNING THE “TRICKSTER DIAL” AND PULLING A CARD FROM THE DEATH DECK. (NOTE: IF THE I CHARACTER LANDS ON THE JESTER SQAURE AND AGAIN PULLS A LEVER CARD THEY GO TO THE ROOM, BUT IMMEDIATELY USES THE ESCAPE HATCH AND CONTINUE ON WITH THEIR TURN BECAUSE THE I PLAYER ALREADY HAS THE WEAPON THAT DEFEATS THE LEVER MONSTER.)
